I bet you’re wondering: What is eBike Chick about?

Greetings! Yes, there is a chick behind eBike Chick. I’m Kathy J, and you can learn everything you’ve ever wanted to know about me in the “About” section. But if you’re here for the TL;DR version, I’m a girl with opinions about ebikes and this is one way I’ve chosen to share them with you. I’m just your average Gen-Xer, living in Silicon Valley, enjoying the California sunshine, trying to stay alive on the roads, and sharing biking experiences with as many people as possible regardless of which bike they ride or how they choose to ride it. I just happen to think ebikes are pretty damn cool, and I want to spread information and take down misperceptions about them while advocating their acceptance as part of the sustainable transportation mix.

I hope you’re here in search of information, because I’m here to provide it. And if we’re lucky there’ll be some entertainment value along the way. The ebike world evolves quickly, with new technologies introduced frequently and new companies popping up promising the bestest and brightest thing ever invented that will make you look so awesomely cool that you must buy it now or face being completely uncool at the next Bike Party. I plan to demystify some of that hoopla and help you get down to the specs to look for that are really important for you as a rider and dismiss the rest as BS that you can ignore.

This is your blog as much as it is mine. One way I’ll know what to write is about is if you ask questions and make comments. Comment on my posts, contact me, head over to Twitter and see what I’m doing over there (although you might get swept up in some of my side projects over there), but let me know your burning questions. Let me know what confuses you. Tell me your pain points. Let me know what pisses you off. I will do my best to either help you figure it out or at least be a sympathetic shoulder.
