Wild rides with Wild Rye
I’m always excited to see women-owned companies at the Sea Otter Classic, and women-specific clothing companies are even more exciting. Coming from the equestrian world where most clothing is geared towards women, I’ve found it a struggle to find cycling clothing that both fits properly and doesn’t look like I’m styling my boyfriend’s jersey. One vendor this year will be Wild Rye out of Sun Valley, ID, a women’s cycling brand founded by women.
What’s Wild Rye’s story? Founded by Cassie Abel, Wild Rye is all about creating top-quality, fashionable outdoor apparel designed specifically for women. They believe in empowering women to explore the great outdoors with confidence and style. And let’s face it, who doesn’t want to look fabulous while conquering mountains or shredding trails?
Wild Rye has a range of fashionable and technical women’s gear for mountain biking, skiing, and all outdoor adventures. They thoughtfully designed their apparel with women’s bodies in mind, ensuring a comfortable fit that moves with you.
So what impresses me about Wild Rye? It’s their commitment to quality, sustainability, and community. They use high-quality, eco-friendly materials to create their gear, and they’re always trying to reduce their impact on the environment. And they’re big on supporting women in the cycling and skiing worlds through sponsorships and community outreach.
Why should you, as an adventure-loving woman (or someone close to one), be interested in Wild Rye? Simple! They’re all about empowering women to feel confident, comfortable, and stylish while having fun outside. And let’s be honest: it’s about time women had gear to do the job right, and look good doing it.
